ORIGINAL STORY: In October, Revolver spoke to System of a Down's Serj Tankian, who teased something coming in 2023 that would see the band revisiting the nu-metal scene of the early Aughts. Now it's becoming clear what the singer was hinting at.
SOAD are just one of the bands that posted a teaser video for Sick New World, a nu-metal destination festival set for this spring — Korn, Deftones, Evanescence, Incubus and Chevelle also shared the clip. The event is set to go down at the Las Vegas Festival Grounds on May 13th, with ticket pre-sales expected to launch on Friday, November 11th. Notably, the same venue just hosted the emo and pop-punk nostalgia fest When We Were Young.
