In anticipation of their comeback album, 'At War with Reality'—due out in North America on October 24—melodic death-metal pioneers At the Gates has now debuted a video for the album track "Death And The Labyrinth." Directed by Patric Ullaeus (In Flames, Arch Enemy, Lacuna Coil, etc.), the vibrant clip can be seen below.

Vocalist Tomas Lindberg comments: "We had a very special idea about the kind of approach we wanted for the first video from 'At War with Reality.' What we needed was someone gifted enough to throw himself artistically into the project full on. The lyrics to the song are very multi-layered and surreal, so we wanted someone to create a fevered dreamworld that went with the melancholic frustration and dramatic desperation that we feel comes across in the song. This is exactly what Patric has created for us. It's his vision of the music and lyrics, which compliments the track perfectly in my opinion. I couldn't be happier!"

Attika 7—led by vocalist/bassist Evan Seinfeld (founder of the legendary Biohazard/star of HOB's 'OZ') and guitarist Rusty Coones ('Sons of Anarchy' fame)—are wrapping up work on their much-anticipated new full-length album, which is set for a mid-2015 release. For additional information go to Attika7.com, and look for the band on this year's KnotFest, performing on Sunday, October 26, at 1:40 P.M.

The band's vicious new track, "Darkest Day," can be streamed now via the lyric video below.

Seinfeld states: "Attika 7 is proud to release 'Darkest Day' to the masses. This is easily our heaviest track to date. We think a lot of people are going to be very surprised about the sound, the energy, and the musicianship. We have been working harder than ever to take our music to the next level.

"This is the ultimate revenge song about the wheel of Karma coming full circle and the hand of fate, whether by our hands or yours delivering some real justice. Too many people think there are no consequences to their actions, and revenge, a dish best served cold, can taste so sweet. When someone has done you wrong, you don't always get to pay them back and when someone takes something from you, something must be done! The weak will beg for mercy and receive none, if Attika 7 has anything to say about it."

Coones further comments: "Attika 7 is an alumni of Rockstar Mayhem and Uproar festivals in recent years. After touring season ended in 2013 we took a hiatus. We wanted something new, something different. We didn't know what it was gonna be, but we weren't gonna stop till we found it. We decided to experiment with new sounds and influences. No rules, just strive to develop something epic. These new songs are the beginning of this journey, not the end."

TheWildBeyond_1.jpg

Space-rock outfit The Wild Beyond will release their self-titled debut EP on November 10 via Big Round Music/UltraMegaSound Records with distribution via The End Records/ADA. Today, the band has teamed up with Revolver to premiere a new track, "Reflex Driver." Check it out below and let us know what you think in the comments!

Mastermind Max Hodes said, "'Reflex Driver' is a dark comedy. On the surface, it sounds like a well-tuned firework-factory explosion. On a deeper level it functions as a frought depiction of heavy metal as a vehicle for heteropatriarchal expression. Like Major 'King' Kong riding his atom bomb to the ground in 'Dr. Strangelove,' it goes boom."
