Goatwhore have shared the lyric video for "Chaos Arcane," the latest single from their forthcoming seventh studio album, Vengeful Ascension. The song and its accompanying video are available below.

"Chaos Arcane" is centered around Nyarlathotep, a character created by H.P. Lovecraft. Commonly known as "the crawling chaos," Nyarlathotep has often be reimagined into the Lovecraft Mythos and considered to be one of the Outer Gods. This particular Goatwhore track depicts the character's attempt "to recount the inexplicable sense of fear in expectancy of an unknown evil."

Frontman Ben Falgoust previously explained of the album, "Each song is a representation of Goatwhore from day one until now. It really shows our evolution as a band. I don't think that this band has reached its peak yet. I mean, I think we're closer now than ever but we're still growing; we're still evolving."

Vengeful Ascension was produced by Jarrett Pritchard (1349, Gruesome), making it the first since 2003's 'Funeral Dirge for the Rotting Sun' that was not overseen by Erik Rutan.

Speaking on the band's decision to depart from Rutan, Falgoust said, "Working with Rutan was awesome. We did some great records with him. But you come to a point where you're like, 'All right. Let's try something new.' It was part of trying to remove ourselves from a comfort zone and a risk thing we needed to take. Plus, we really wanted to hit the essence of where we are live and what better way to harness that than by having our live sound guy involved. Jarrett is knowledgeable with the studio stuff. He also knows how we sound coming out of a P.A. and we really wanted to get closer to that."

The record is due on June 23 via Metal Blade Records. It can be pre-ordered in various formats at this location.

Following up the release of "Unbreakable," Of Mice & Men have shared "Back to Me," the second new song that features the band's revamped lineup with bassist Aaron Pauley on vocals.

"'Back to Me' is a very meaningful song for us," explained Pauley. "When going through major life changes, whether it's loss or growth, it's incredibly easy to feel like you've lost a part of yourself—and like you'll never be yourself again. I've come believe that we can never truly lose ourselves. I believe we persist through these changes, and that if you can discover, tap into, and ignite your true passions, you'll always be able light the way back to you. We really wanted to put out 'Back to Me' as the follow up to 'Unbreakable,' because we wanted to reassure and encourage ourselves and others to press on when times get tough. 'Let hope be everything that you need...'"

The music video for "Back to Me" chronicles the band's past few weeks and performances at the recent Las Rageous, Fort Rock, Welcome to Rockville, Carolina Rebellion, and Northern Invasion festivals.

The single was once again recorded by Grammy-nominated producer Howard Benson (Sepultura, My Chemical Romance), mixed by Grammy winner Chris Lord-Alge (Deftones, Muse) and mastered by Chris Athens (Drake, Ozzy Osbourne). It can be purchased at this location.

Back in December of 2016, original Of Mice & Men frontman Austin Carlile departed from the band due to his ongoing battle with Marfan syndrome.

Between the Buried and Me bassist Dan Briggs shared a cover of "Falling," the theme song from David Lynch and Mark Frost's cult television show, Twin Peaks. His version of the song can be heard below.

Speaking on his fandom for the show and reasons for covering the theme, Briggs explained: "When I was in college I started down the rabbit hole of everything David Lynch and have found so much inspiration in his work over the years. This is a song that has haunted me for most of my life as I was 6 when the series originally aired and my parents were immersed in it. I really wanted to put my spin on it as it's probably the most gorgeous three chord song in existence; and I wanted the end of the song to feel like you were being sucked into the Black Lodge."

Twin Peaks ran for two seasons in 1990 and 1991. The supernatural series explored the puzzling death of a small town's popular high school student, Laura Palmer, employing paranormal and extraterrestrial themes. In addition to the prequel films Fire Walk with Me and The Missing Pieces, the series is launching a revival season via Showtime. It will premiere this Sunday, May 21.

Between the Buried and Me will embark on a "Colors Ten Year Anniversary Tour," in which the band will perform their landmark album, Colors, in full. The dates can be found at this location.

River Black—which features members of Revocation, Municipal Waste, ex-Burnt by the Sun—will release their new self-titled album on July 7 via Season of Mist. In anticipation, the band has teamed up with Revolver to premiere their new track, "#Victim." Check it out below and let us know what you think in the comments.

The band said, "This song was inspired by some individuals who latch on to the misfortune of others and try to claim it as their own; vicarious victims who are so addicted to drama and self-loathing that they gravitate towards any tragedy and make it a part of their identity, hence the hashtag. This first-world problem is the height of privilege and it speaks to a larger problem of intentional victimhood in American society, where too often we pre-empt problems that are not ours with solutions we don't need; solutions which are rooted in a corrupt health care system more committed to profitable treatments than good health or personal growth."

Misfits guitarist Doyle Wolfgang Von Frankenstein has shared the official music video for the song "Run for Your Life," which is the first single from his forthcoming album, 'As We Die.' The record is due on June 2 via Monsterman Records. The song and video are available below.

"I did the guitars when I did the 'Abominator' record," explained Doyle. "We did two albums at once, actually. We were going to do a double album but there was so much material we just cut the motherfucker in half. We were actually done with all the recording during February of 2016, and we were just having a real problem getting the mix right. We mixed for 14 fucking months... I'm out of my mind, man. It's got to be perfect. It's your product and you have to make it perfect, 'cause it's forever. It's got to be great. When my favorite artist makes a record and I don't like it, I'm pissed, y'know? I don't want anyone to feel that way about us."

In This Moment will release their sixth studio album, 'Ritual,' on July 21 via Atlantic/Roadrunner Records. In conjunction with the album announcement, the band have shared "Oh Lord," the latest single from the album. The song can be heard below.

"It's like we're going into the next realm," commented frontwoman Maria Brink. "I had a conviction of feeling empowered in my life and with myself. I always write from a personal place, and I needed to share that sense of strength. I've never been afraid to hold back. Sometimes I can be very suggestive. However, I wanted to show our fans that this is the most powerful side of myself and it's without overt sexuality. It's that deeper serious fire inside of my heart."

"When fans hear this, I want them to feel the music, whether they take away sadness, anger, or happiness," added lead guitarist Chris Howorth. "As a kid, I remember listening to records and putting them on repeat over and over again. I'd love for the world to listen and absorb this as a piece of work."

'Ritual,' which was produced by Grammy-nominated Kevin Churko, will feature a guest appearance from Judas Priest frontman Rob Halford. The album can be pre-ordered at this location.

The band will embark on a North American summer tour along with Motionless in White. Check out the dates here.

Obey the Brave have shared their official music video for the song "Drama," which will appear on their forthcoming studio album, 'Mad Season.' The effort is due on June 2 via Epitaph Records. The clip can be seen below.

Frontman Alex Erian said, "Sonically and visually, this new song and video mark a new turn in our career. We stepped out of our comfort zone and drove ourselves to new limits, trying out different ideas while maintaining the heaviness and energy from our 'Young Blood' days. As soon as I heard that riff, all I could hear in my head was Steve's voice over and over again. He and I have been writing and performing together in Despised Icon for 15 years. That chemistry definitely shines on this single."
