Here at Revolver, we're always on the hunt for new songs to bang our heads to — indeed, it's a big part of our jobs. With that in mind, here are the tracks released this week in death metal, sasscore, industrial and more that have been on heavy rotation at Revolver HQ. For your listening pleasure, we've also compiled the songs in an ever-evolving Spotify playlist.

Arch Enemy - "Deceiver, Deceiver"
Arch Enemy's first new song in four years picks up right where the Swedish melodeath titans left off. "Deceiver, Deceiver" is a screeching freight-train of rattling blast-beats, a sparking guitar solo and titanium-enforced screams from Alissa White-Gluz that sound commanding as ever.

Boy Harsher - "Tower"
Just as the weather's getting colder and nightfall's coming sooner, Boy Harsher have returned with a creepy darkwave tune to match the mood. "Tower" is a slow-builder that dangles a John Carpenter-esque synth line over steamy ambiance until it melts into a messy puddle of harried shrieks and noisy squalls.

SeeYouSpaceCowboy - "The End to a Brief Moment of Lasting Intimacy"
The breed of sassy, spastic metalcore that SeeYouSpaceCowboy channeled on their early material was always one degree of separation from piereced-lip mall screamo with nasally hooks, so the San Diego band gave that a go on "The End to a Brief Moment of Lasting Intimacy." Frontwoman Connie Sgarbossa switches between throaty yowls and spoken-word mutters, while her bandmates lay down cleans that recall Underoath's catchiest moments. It works.

HEALTH x Poppy - "Dead Flowers"
If HEALTH have proven anything over the last couple years, it's that they can make a banger with anyone — from Nine Inch Nails to 100 gecs. Their latest collaboration is with the similarly chameleonic Poppy, and "Dead Flowers" achieves a moody middleground between their two sounds by making use of quiet intensity in place of sheer sonic force. Then Poppy lets that scream rip.

Mastodon - "Sickle and Peace"
Mastodon's music has always worked better when it's digested as full albums rather than as individual songs, and their upcoming double LP is no different. That said, "Sickle and Peace" is a helluva fucking song, with a twirling prog lick and an emotional vocal performance from Troy Sanders that explodes into a heavy frenzy during the hook. As a bonus, the fuzz tone on that guitar solo is no less than supreme.

200 Stab Wounds - "Itty Bitty Pieces"
If your band's called 200 Stab Wounds then you can't go one foot in, and these Ohio bad-boys have no problem throwing their whole bodies into the blood-soaked gallows of brutal death metal. "Itty Bitty Pieces," the latest taste of their upcoming debut, Slave to the Scalpel, rests somewhere between meat-cleaving slam, zombie-fied metallic hardcore and good 'ole fashioned gory death-metal.
