Here at Revolver, we're always on the hunt for new songs to bang our heads to — indeed, it's a big part of our jobs. With that in mind, here are the tracks released this week in metal, hard rock and hardcore that have been on heavy rotation at Revolver HQ. For your listening pleasure, we've also compiled the songs in a Spotify playlist, which will grow each week.

Leeched - "Earth and Ash"
Manchester, U.K.'s Leeched kick ass, period. From their DIY background to their insane live performances, these guys have us stoked, and their new crusher, "Earth and Ash," is a big reason why. The first single off the metallic hardcore trio's upcoming sophomore album, To Dull the Blades of Your Abuse, is straight-up nasty and gross, like Harm's Way, Cult Leader and Full of Hell might sound if Godflesh barfed all over their gear. "In the grim darkness of the future there is only despair and depravity," the band says of the cut and its music video. Cold, man.

Loma Prieta — "Continuum"
The four-year hiatus is over! West Coast quartet Loma Prieta have been hibernating since 2015's fantastic Self Portrait. With "Continuum," the group welcomes fans to a whole new era. Once an emotive hardcore group à la their Deathwish Inc. roster mates, Loma Prieta take a hard left turn with their new single. Recorded by engineer Jack Shirley (Deafheaven, Oathbreaker), "Continuum" delivers Pixies- and Deftones-like spaciness and potency that is, dare we say, beautiful.

Left Behind - "Eternity of Empty"
Left Behind have dropped yet another southern-sludge body slam. The third single from No One Goes to Heaven (which is out today, November 15th), "Eternity of Empty" treads heavy territory, both sonically and lyrically. Says vocalist Zach Hatfield: "I wrote 'Eternity of Empty' about growing up in church, being scared because I don't understand what's going on. ... Left me with a lot of thoughts growing up like, 'Well, what if this is all real and I'm just a shitty person and not good enough for Heaven?'"

Caspian - "Flowers of Light"
Like Loma Prieta, instrumental post-rock crew Caspian haven't graced our ears with new music for four long years. "Flowers of Light" is well worth the wait. A glistening, nostalgia-soaked ambient meditation off the Massachusetts-based band's upcoming On Circles LP, it's heartbreaking and gorgeous at once, like a fading memory of better days.

Vildhjarta - "Den Helige Anden"
Swedish progressive metal quintet Vildhjarta had heads spinning with their "who the fuck is this?" wake-up call of a debut, 2011's måsstaden. Eight years and one EP (2013's Thousands of Evils) later, they've dropped the lead single off their full-length follow-up, Kaos 2. "Den Helige Anden"is djenty in all the best ways possible, rife with the stuttering brutality of Meshuggah and some of the widescreen epicness of Gojira.

Suicide Silence - "Love Me to Death"
There's truth to the saying "If it ain't broke, don't fix it." There's also truth to the popular opinion that Suicide Silence's last album, 2017's self-titled offering — which saw them veer dramatically away from their signature deathcore sound into nu-metal territory — was not good. Thankfully, "Love Me to Death," one of two new singles the band just dropped, has all the dizzying riffs, neck-snapping breakdowns and harsh vocals longtime fans could ask for. Welcome back, boys.
