Here at Revolver, we're always on the hunt for new songs to bang our heads to — indeed, it's a big part of our jobs. With that in mind, here are the tracks released this week in metal, hard rock and hardcore that have been on heavy rotation at Revolver HQ. For your listening pleasure, we've also compiled the songs in a Spotify playlist below, which will grow each week.

Spirit Adrift - "Angel & Abyss"
Spirit Adrift — featuring Gatecreeper's Nate Garrett and Chase Mason — may have started out as a doom band, but they're clearly leaving that categorization in the dust as they evolve and expand their vision of retro-modern classic metal. New track "Angel & Abyss" is a perfect example of their ambitions. Garrett and Co. transform this introspective heavy-metal ballad into a righteous fist-pumping riff-fest bursting with killer melodic twin-guitar harmonies, anthemic Eighties-style choruses and sublime face-melting solos.

HEALTH X Ghostemane - "Judgement Night"
HEALTH prove yet again that they're one of the most versatile bands in heavy music by pairing up with hip-hop/industrial/hardcore genre-blender Ghostemane for the subterranean club banger "Judgement Night." The beat sounds like a scuffed-up dubstep remix of the Halloween soundtrack, as Ghostemane growls out his signature macabre shit. Bonus points for the music video, which cribs heavily from the infamous arcade game, Chiller.

Amon Amarth - "Crack the Sky"
It's kind of amazing that it's taken Amon Amarth this long to write a song called "Crack the Sky." Appropriately, the second single from the band's forthcoming 11th LP Berserker keeps the hammer turned northward. Amon Amarth's life-affirming hooks about lightning, faith and defiance are so huge and melodic that they could almost be Taylor Swift melodies if you scaled up the octaves a bit. Point being: this is some fucking inspirational epic storm-the-castle Viking-type shit.

Full of Hell - "Silmaril"
Maryland/Pennsylvania grindcore stalwarts Full of Hell leave a crater no matter where they tread, and the puss and agony on display here on new track "Silmaril" is no different. And shout-out to the song's last 15 seconds, where vocalist Dylan Walker gurgles an agonized, angry death. No words, just pestilence.

Enthroned - "Hosanna Satana"
Belgian warriors Enthroned have been serving up cold, furious black metal since the genre's coldest, more furious early Nineties heyday. Their latest missive to darkness "Hosanna Satana," from their forthcoming full-length Cold Black Suns, is an unrelenting assault on the senses: machine-gun drums, churning, seasick riffs and ragged, tortured vocals.

Fury - "Mono No Aware"
Rising O.C. hardcore band are all about changing perceptions and opening minds, whether that means taking a "squeegee" to their third eye, or pushing the boundaries of punk by cleverly working in heavy 90s alt-rock vibes to their hardcore assault. The result is an exciting-as-hell sound, as heard on new cut "Mono No Aware" (from forthcoming album Failed Entertainment) — a catchy-as-hell stomper that will elicit circle pits and sing-alongs alike.
