Here at Revolver, we're always on the hunt for new songs to bang our heads to — indeed, it's a big part of our jobs. With that in mind, here are the tracks released this week in metal, hard rock and hardcore that have been on heavy rotation at Revolver HQ. For your listening pleasure, we've also compiled the songs in a Spotify playlist, which will grow each week.

Une Misère - "Sermon"
Let's cut right to it: We're big-time champions of Icelandic blackened hardcore crew Une Misère. Their debut full-length, Sermon, due November 1st, absolutely crushes, and so does its dense, massive title track and the cut's eerie music video. "The song is about the inner struggle that a person can have within themself," vocalist Jón Már Ásbjörnsson said. "In a sentence it's about being ready to go to the end of the world just to destroy yourself. We hope that people are as up for it as we are." Oh, we are.

Code Orange - "Let Me In"
WWE wrestler Bray Wyatt's new persona the Fiend is one of the more nightmarish things we've seen in a bit, and so who better to reimagine his theme than Code Orange, Pittsburgh's leading purveyors of hair-raising industrialized metallic hardcore? The result is chilling, challenging and captivating all at once, and manages to sound exactly like no one other than Code Orange while also sounding unlike anything they've released before.

Killswitch Engage - "The Crownless King"
It's one of Killswitch Engage's heaviest songs ever. It features Testament's Chuck Billy guesting with his best death growls (KsE frontman Jesse Leach told Revolver Billy's appearance on the band's new album, Atonement, is "a nod to people who started this shit"). It's got more Swedish melodic-death-metal riffage than you can handle. Need we say more? Crank it.

Chelsea Wolfe - "Be All Things"
According to Chelsea Wolfe, "Be All Things" — the latest single from her forthcoming mostly acoustic album, Birth of Violence — is about "navigating the world as a woman: reconciling the soft and the strong, balancing the warrior and the goddess, and wanting to be everything and nothing at the same time." Whispering and swelling with a quiet, otherworldly power, the song somehow manages to express those oppositional elements and harmonize them with grace and mystery.

Ho99o9 - "Master of Pain"
From its horror-movie intro to its raging cyberpunk riffage and feral vocals, "Master of Pain" is one of industrial-rap duo Ho99o9's hardest-hitting offerings to date. From Marilyn Manson and Korn to Slipknot's Corey Taylor, everyone seems to be jumping on the group's bandwagon, and thrilling, genre-defying cuts like this are a big reason why.

Toxic Holocaust - "Chemical Warlords"
It's been six long years since Toxic Holocaust's last full-length, Chemistry of Consciousness, but the drought is finally about to end, with the October release of Primal Future: 2019. Lead single "Chemical Warlords" has all the denim-clad, booze-soaked, jump-in-the-pit thrash goodness that fans of Venom, Discharge, D.R.I. and, of course, Toxic Holocaust main man Joel Grind himself could ever hope for.
