Here at Revolver, we're always on the hunt for great new music — indeed, it's a big part of our jobs. With that in mind, here are the tracks released this week in metal, hard rock, hardcore and beyond that have been on heavy rotation at Revolver HQ. For your listening pleasure, we've also compiled the songs in a Spotify playlist, below, which will grow each week.

Nervosa - "Never Forget, Never Repeat"
"Never Forget, Never Repeat," the searing first single from Brazilian power trio Nervosa's upcoming third album, Downfall of Mankind, finds the outfit fashioning its pre-established death, black and thrash influences into an intricate, earsplitting torture chain. Bandleader Fernanda Lira leads the charge with quaking, larynx-shredding screams, while her bandmates raze the remaining sonic space to the ground with wicked-fast fretwork and good ol' reliable blast beats.

Graveyard - "Please Don't"
Following their breakup in September 2016 (and the subsequent reunion less than four months later), Swedish hard-rockers Graveyard resume their bong-friendly antics with "Please Don't," a swampy psych joint and the first single off their fifth studio album, Peace. Between the reverb-heavy mix and Blue Cheer–flavored chug, Graveyard's devotion to classic-rock evangelism, and the sharp songcraft that results, have never been more apparent. Disregard the title: please do give "Please Don't" a listen.

This White Light - "Winter Flowers"
Considering Southern Lord honcho/Sunn O))) riff-bringer Greg Anderson's involvement with Jesse Sykes & the Sweet Hereafter, his new band This White Light isn't a shocker – more like a welcome surprise. "Winter Flowers," which finds Anderson teamed up with current and former members of Pelican, Engine Kid, Tattle Tale, strikes a beautiful balance between indie vibes and heavy distorted tones.

Ihsahn - "Wake"
Few have a better mastery and control over the many dimensions of avant-garde black metal than Emperor mainman Ihsahn. His newest single "Wake," off his upcoming solo record Ámr, starts from a seed of heavy riffing and pounding drums. As the song progresses, light begins to seep in, his guitar work moving out of the black and into the progressive. The song takes a surprising turn in its chorus, where it becomes shockingly catchy, before diving back into the darkness.

Impalers - "Nuclear Cabaret/Secret Beach" (Live)
Impalers rework a pair of tracks from one of 2017's best punk records, Cellar Dwellar, into a singular, slightly psychedelic warhorse. On their new Beat Sessions cassette, the band revisits some of its best-loved hits of the past eight or so years, adding small spins to the proceedings but never taking the foot off the gas or the knife off your throat.

Aura Noir - "Shades Ablaze"
The main idea of black metal was always anti-everything, which is why the long-running Norwegian act has it right — as opposed to virtually everyone else on the playing field. Aura Noir deliver a particularly black-tinged version of metal/rock that keeps the black-metal aesthetics in play, but they never come off as retro, revisionist or — dark-lord forbid — tacky. This is pure whiskey-filled rock & roll, meant to cause mayhem and wear out stereos world wide.
