Here at Revolver, we're always on the hunt for new songs to bang our heads to — indeed, it's a big part of our jobs. With that in mind, here are the tracks released this week in metal, hardcore, industrial and more that have been on heavy rotation at Revolver HQ. For your listening pleasure, we've also compiled the songs in an ever-evolving Spotify playlist.

Backxwash - "I Lie Here Buried With My Rings and My Dresses"
Last year, the Montreal-based rapper-producer Backxwash received a standing ovation from the metal world for her Sabbath-sampling breakout, God Has Nothing to Do With This Leave Him Out Of It. "I Lie Here Buried With My Rings and My Dresses" is the first taste of her impending follow-up, and it's an even heavier dose of lacerating horrocore that features demonic screams from frequent collaborator Ada Rook, formerly of the noise-pop duo Black Dresses.

Amenra - "De Evenmens"
Belgian post-metal necromancers Amenra made their grand return this week by announcing their Relapse Records full-length debut, De Doorn. Lead single "De Evenmens" is another towering obelisk from one of the most consistently stunning bands in all of heavy metal.

Andrew W.K. - "I'm in Heaven"
We've heard Andrew W.K. party before, but never like this. "I'm in Heaven" is a shockingly brutal and chuggy new cut from his upcoming fifth full-lengh, God Is Partying, and its accompanying video features considerably more gore than you'll get from a cocaine nosebleed. This is W.K. on beast mode.

Fiddlehead - "Down University"
Post-hardcore supergroup Fiddlehead (ex-Have Heart, Basement and more) are gearing up to drop their sophomore record, Between The Richness, later this month. New single "Down University" features frontman Pat Flynn — a high-school history teacher by day — snapping at the unfair pressures that academia places on today's students. "No one cares/It's just a name/You are more than a degree," he barks. Amen.

HEALTH and Nine Inch Nails - "Isn't Everyone"
Most industrial bands could only dream of teaming up with the genre's forefathers, Nine Inch Nails, but HEALTH's wish actually came true. The L.A. noise-makers' five-minute track with Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross brings out the best in both of their sounds. A brooding, clamorous and oddly beautiful collaboration.

Cage Fight - "Hope Castrated"
Cage Fight is a new supergroup from TesseracT guitarist James Monteith and former Eths vocalist Rachel Aspe, and their debut single "Hope Castrated" is a fucking ripper. Don't let either of their resumes fool you: This is no-frills metallic hardcore that recalls the neck-snapping mosh fodder of Victory Records' golden era.

Heriot - "Dispirit"
We were already on-board the Heriot train after hearing their crushing January single, "Recreant," but "Dispirit" is an even louder, scarier and more threatening shotgun blast of skin-searing metalcore. If you think you've heard all that the heavy hardcore idiom has to give, then you haven't heard Heriot.

Filth is Eternal - "Zed"
On their 2018 debut, Suffrage, the band formerly known as Fucked and Bound played a whipping blend of noisy punk and thrashy hardcore. Now, the Seattle gang featuring members of Daughters and He Whose Ox is Gored have changed their moniker to Filth is Eternal and adjusted their sound on new single "Zed," which has a slower, sludgier, though no less satisfying, sonic character.
