Absent in Body: Hear Neurosis, Sepultura, Amenra Supergroup's Savage New Song "Sarin"

Scott Kelly, Iggor Cavalera and Co.' channel Integrity on second single from upcoming debut

Earlier this month, we heard the introductory track from Absent in Body, a high-volume-dealing conglomerate featuring Neurosis' Scott Kelly, OG Sepultura drummer Iggor Cavalera and Amenra vocalist Colin H. Van Eeckhout and guitarist Mathieu J. Vandekerckhove. The post-metal supergroup have their debut album, Plague God, arriving March 25th via Relapse Records, and today (February 22nd) they've unveiled its utterly decimating second single, "Sarin."

While previous taste, "The Acres/The Ache," captured the towering beauty of Neurosis and Amenra's most crushingly serene moments, this one is far heavier, sludgier and downright evil-sounding. In a statement about the track, singer-bassist Colin H. Van Eeckhout (Amenra) revealed that "Sarin" shares the name of a song by metallic hardcore veterans Integrity, and that Absent In Body were consciously channeling Dwid Hellion's scabrous growls on this nihilistic crusher. Listen above and watch its gloomy video.

"Humanity its demise as a self fulfilling prophecy," Van Eeckhout added cryptically. "The onslaught of information is not manageable for any empathic organism in this Universe. Driven into a corner, overtaken by our own self-destructive ways, Nature sends its beasts to settle things for good. Restore balance by fire, water, earth and wind. Until eventually mankind will eat itself. Facts are no longer facts, and Science appears to have been driven from its throne, by new gods of unintelligible information. The story told by a new breed, all awhile Sarin will sleep in your lungs tonight."

Plague God is up for pre-order now in an array of collectible formats including a gorgeous splatter vinyl variant exclusively available via Revolver's shop and those of some of our sister brands. It's limited to 500 so order yours before they're gone!
