For its eighth annual edition, California music fest Aftershock has expanded to three full days of performances and booked a compellingly diverse and forward-looking bill stacked with some of the biggest acts in heavy music appearing alongside many of the scene's most important and trailblazing up-and-comers. Produced by independent festival producer Danny Wimmer Presents, Aftershock 2019 is set to take place Friday, October 11th, Saturday, October 12th and Sunday, October 13th at Discovery Park near downtown Sacramento, and boasts a lineup including Tool, Slipknot, blink-182, Korn, Rob Zombie and Staind, who have reunited to play limited shows this fall following a five-year hiatus. Bring Me the Horizon, Marilyn Manson, Lamb of God, Halestorm, Dropkick Murphys, BABYMETAL, Ghostemane, Ho99o9, Spirit Adrift, Angel Du$t and many more are also set to play.
"Aftershock Festival is always a unique experience for Korn compared to other festivals," Korn guitarist Brian "Head" Welch commented of this year's event. "One of the main reasons is we have many friends and family that live near Sacto, so it's always like a family reunion when we play Aftershock. We've been gone a while and we're coming back this year with a new album, new stage look, and a new excitement that is very contagious! We feel like we are on fire right now and our fans are gonna be fuel for the flames!"
