Alice in Chains: See Slipknot's Corey Taylor Cover "Would?" With Jerry Cantrell in 2009

Metal vocalist got to sing one of his all-time favorite songs

Corey Taylor is a huge fan of Alice in Chains. In fact, the Slipknot singer recently called their 1992 masterpiece, Dirt, "one of the greatest hard rock/heavy metal albums of all time" and had particularly glowing things to say about its knockout of a closer, "Would?," which was the first song he heard off of Dirt. "My initial thought was, 'How are they going to top this?' And holy hell, they smashed it."

In 2009, Taylor was fortunate enough to be onstage with Alice in Chains shredder Jerry Cantrell at Camp Freddy, where they busted into a kickass cover of "Would?" with Taylor on the mic

The Slipknot singer was so excited that he tore his shirt off halfway through and belted like a giddy fan while Cantrell and the rest of the ragtag gang of musicians onstage — which included Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker behind the kit — ripped the track.

It's a genuinely amazing performance, and you can watch it happen above via YouTube.
