Comprised of Totimoshi's Meg Castellanos and Tony Aguilar, Desert Sessions' Tony Tornay and Black Elk's Erik Trammel, L.A. quartet All Souls came together in 2015 — though the band members had kicked around the idea of playing together for over two decades. "Meg and I had always wanted to play with Tony as did Erik," Aguilar told us of the group's origins. "It finally fell into place." A whirlwind five years have followed, with the band touring in support of the Melvins, the Jesus Lizard, Red Fang, the Sword and others, and, in 2018, collaborating with Tool drummer Danny Carey on the song "Sadist/Servant." Then, in May 2019, Carey's band invited All Souls on the road with them for seven momentous dates — and even pranked them at the end.

Today (August 11th), All Souls have teamed with Revolver to unveil their latest single, the rollicking and biting "Twilight Times," track No. 2 on their forthcoming album, Songs for the End of the World, which the band will self-release on October 2nd. (You can pre-order it now via Bandcamp.) Crank it below.

"Set to an upbeat, Kinks-inspired pop structure, 'Twilight Times' is about the people who drank the Kool-Aid," the band explains in a joint statement. "These people no longer believe in science. They are willfully following whatever dictatorial figure that believes the same bigoted opinions they hold near and dear. They are the religious zealots who are morally outraged at everything that challenges their ridiculous perspective. We are being held hostage by their stupidity which is cementing our own demise. It was the first song we wrote for this new album."
