Portland trio rail against dangers of social media

Industrialized nu-metal trio Amerakin Overdose have announced their new album, Artificial Infection, and offered up an acidic taste in the form of the single "Damaged." The pummeling cut was co-produced by Cristian Machado of Ill NiƱo and Lions at the Gate fame, and it arrives with a high-octane music video filmed and edited by Bausik Filmco.

Vocalist-guitarist Cody Perez commented: "'Damaged' is about social media and how it pollutes our minds, manipulates our thoughts and feeds us a narrative that distorts our perceptions of the world."

In addition to "Damaged," Artificial Infection will include remastered tracks "Neurostatic," "Disconnect" and "Bleed," which were all released as singles last year. The album is due out July 12th on both CD and digital streaming platforms, and is available for pre-order now.

Ahead of Artificial Infection, Amerakin Overdose are set to play Milwaukee Metal Fest on May 19th and Wisconsin's Rock Fest on July 19th.
