It's here. It's finally fucking here. After a seven-year wait since their last album, 2016's The Stage, Avenged Sevenfold have at long last announced their new record, Life Is but a Dream. The O.C. band's eighth full-length is coming June 2nd, and today they're previewing it with a refreshingly heavy new song called "Nobody." Blast it while you watch its stop-motion video — directed by Chris Hopewell — above via YouTube.

Avenged Sevenfold aren't yet revealing the tracklist for Life Is but a Dream, but a press release describes the record as being influenced by Albert Camus' 1942 philosophical novella, The Stranger, rooting the lyrics in "existentialism and absurdism." Its cover art, created by Wes Lang, is definitely one of A7X's most striking album covers yet, and you can see that below.

In addition to the album unveiling, A7X have also announced two new headlining shows for later this summer, one at Los Angeles' Kia Forum on June 9th and another at New York's Madison Square Garden on June 23rd. Tickets go on-sale March 17th.

Life Is but a Dream is out June 2nd and it's now available for pre-order in a variety of formats. Revolver has an exclusive 2LP brown colored vinyl variant that's limited to just 1,000 copies worldwide. Gets yours from our shop before they sell out!
