Avenged Sevenfold Recap European Tour, Drop Clip of Previously Unreleased Music

Brief snippet appears to tease rumored new song for 'Call of Duty: Black Ops 4'

Avenged Sevenfold have not revealed concrete plans concerning a return to the stage since singer M. Shadow was remanded by doctors in July to a mandatory healing period due to a vocal chord injury. In the meantime, they've offered impatient fans a breezy recap video showing highlights from the band's recent European tour. The clip captures A7X as they explore Europe, enjoying the local culture in cities like Madrid and Florence, with intermittent performance footage cut in, illustrating their massive, international reach. But the real highlight might be a 16-second tease of previously unheard music that plays from the 3:57 mark of the video through the end.

Fans have theorized that it's a clip of from a rumored new song for the upcoming video game release Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 — especially since the Black Ops 4 shield logo appears onscreen at the same time as the snippet. Back in June, before A7X were forced to cancel several North American headlining tour dates, Avenged's lead guitarist Synyster Gates cheekily addressed this rumor, telling Finnish outlet Kaaos TV, "I don't know anything about that and that is something that, if there was something like that going on, that was Johnny Christ's fault for absolutely fucking up a potential surprise. But! That's only ifs and buts. We don't know if that's true or not."
