On Sunday, April 16th, death-metal stalwarts the Black Dahlia Murder tore through Irving Plaza in New York City, playing just the second date of their first tour since beloved frontman Trevor Strnad's tragic 2002 death. Since then, co-founding guitarist Brian Eschbach has taken over vocal duties, with former lead shredder Ryan Knight returning to the band to handle rhythm guitar duties.
L.A. hardcore vets Terror, Texas death-metal upstarts Frozen Soul, Boston metallic hardcore bruisers Fuming Mouth and Fargo death-metal maestros Phobophilic opened the show, but the night belonged to the headliners, who blasted through a triumphant, or somewhat bittersweet, 15-song set. Photographer The Tinfoil Biter was there to catch all the crowd-surfing action — check out some of her standout shots below.
