Bring Me the Horizon Surprise-Release New Album Featuring Halsey, Lotus Eater, More

Eight-track LP dives fully into ambient-electronic pop

If you thought Bring Me the Horizon pushed boundaries with their polarizing, pop-infused album Amo, you should hear their latest, the epically titled Music to listen to~dance to~blaze to~pray to~feed to~sleep to~talk to~grind to~trip to~breathe to~help to~hurt to~scroll to~roll to~love to~hate to~learn to~plot to~play to~be to~feel to~breed to~sweat to~dream to~hide to~live to~die to~GO TO. The U.K. genre-smashers surprise-released the eight-track offering just in time for the holidays — it's available to stream via most digital platforms, including YouTube above and below.

The album, which runs an hour and 15 minutes, features guest appearances from Halsey, Happyalone., Toriel, Yonaka, Lotus Eater and Bexey, and dives fully into an ambient-electronic-pop direction. It follows up BMTH's recent more-rock-oriented stand-alone single "Ludens," recorded for the soundtrack to the PlayStation 4 video game Death Stranding.

According to lead singer Oli Sykes, Bring Me the Horizon plan on releasing music in a much less traditional way going forward — as the single "Ludens" and new surprise full-length would suggest. "We're not going to do an album again, maybe ever," he told NME. "We're thinking about doing shorter records ... the plan is to release multiple records next year."
