Bring Me the Horizon have spent the last few weeks touring North America with the Fever 333 following the release of their latest LP Amo, but audiences in Phoenix, Arizona, and Las Vegas will have to wait to see the British rockers following the announcement that singer Oli Sykes ruptured a vocal cord and is unable to perform.

After the band tweeted out the following straightforward message — "Due to unforeseen circumstances our show in Las Vegas on Saturday February 16th has been cancelled. Refunds are available at point of purchase" — the frontman elaborated on his condition in a longer, more personal statement. "I'm gutted to announce we have to cancel the remainder of our American tour," explained Sykes in a note posted to the group's and his own social media pages.

"I've ruptured my right vocal chord," he continued, "and I've been told if I don't rest it immediately I'm in serious danger of doing permanent damage." He likened the injury to that of an athlete trying to play with a broken limb and offered an apology to disappointed fans, before promising that the band are working out a plan to hit the missed cities again for makeup shows later in the year.

The Fever 333 acknowledged the circumstances on Twitter, as well, letting fans know they'll be back in Arizona on March 23rd for Rock 102.1 KFMA Day, where they'll take the stage alongside Shinedown, Papa Roach and Asking Alexandria.
