Gothy synth-pop duo Boy Harsher continue their reign over playlists / mixtapes / dancefloors all over the world with their Careful Remixes, etc. LP, which features 12 reworkings of standout cuts from their latest full-length Careful. Today, the band unveiled the haunting video for Texas producer Rabit's remix of "LA."
The sparse and minimalist re-imagining transforms the song to the point where the original is completely unrecognizable — yet still utterly transfixing. The eerie visual furthers the disorienting vibes as it goes deeper into the bizarre narrative of the original "LA" video (see that below), which director Kathleen Dycaico describes as follows:
"The story follows Hunter + Angel, two country camgirls in love and longing. They constantly film and watch their live-streamed love, surviving on cherries and beer, until signs that 'Time's Up' appear in the world around them. Hunter + Angel eventually take their memories out back and use them for target practice, and destroy the images of their love."
