The future is looking bright for Testament. The Bay Area thrash vets recently announced that ex-Slayer drummer Dave Lombardo has officially re-joined the band (he had a brief stint with the group in the late Nineties) and their upcoming "Bay Strikes Back" tour with Exodus and Death Angel is one of the most anticipated metal treks of 2022. Recently, frontman Chuck Billy was asked by the Sobre La Dosis YouTube channel to pick his favorite Testament album out of all the band's 13 studio LP's, and he ended up going with their newest release, 2020's Titans of Creation

"I would have to say is the latest one," Billy explained. "Just because you know, I feel after 30 something years we're still [able] to be creative and come up with new stuff, and push ourselves and our limits of what we do for songwriting and performance. So I think we're getting like wine, getting better with age."

While Testament's material in the Eighties and Nineties was undoubtedly more influential to the direction thrash (and metal overall) took, it's good to see that Billy is feeling proud of where the band's at currently. Watch his response above via YouTube.
