On December 29th, 2020, the metal community lost one of its most exciting guitarists with the untimely death of Alexi Laiho. Over his three-decade 10-album career leading Children of Bodom, the Finnish super shredder brought a unique virtuosity to the melodic, extreme-metal scene.
But Laiho's inimitable skills — which were praised by critics, fans and famous friends alike — weren't just constrained to his work with his COB hatecrew. Laiho also showcased his six-string prowess with Finnish hardcore band Kylähullut, power-metal outfit Sinergy, the post-COB project Bodom After Midnight and more.
