Canadian multi-instrumentalist Devin Townsend is one of the most prolific and creatively restless musicians in the game. Since super shredder Steve Vai gave him a shot singing on 1993's Sex & Religion, Townsend has explored a wide range of musical styles — from Strapping Young Lad's industrial metal to his many eponymous ventures in hard rock, electronica, ambient, new age and beyond.

Over the years Townsend has also flexed his musical talents, production expertise and remixing skills on a range of collaborations with Front Line Assembly, Skinny Puppy, Ihsahn, Gojira, Lamb of God, Soilwork, Paradise Lost, Darkest Hour, Rammstein and many more. No single Spotify playlist could contain his impressive body of work, but below is our best attempt to provide an intro to his vast catalog.
