Crosses: See Deftones Side Project's Haunting New "Holier" Video

Chino Moreno and Shaun Lopez's 'PERMANENT.RADIANT' EP out now

Today (December 8th), Crosses (†††) — the electronic-rock duo of Deftones' Chino Moreno and Far's Shaun Lopez — released their excellent new six-track EP, PERMANENT.RADIANT, and on its fifth cut, "Holier," revealed the source of its title. Moreno sings that memorable phrase in the chorus of the characteristically smooth, hypnotic song, which arrived along with a gorgeously eerie music video.

The "Holier" visual, like all of Crosses' recent videos, follows an unnamed recurring protagonist (played by Thais Molon) on her surreal, Lynch-ian misadventures, this one involving what appears to be a religious cult with a predilection for shaved heads. The narrative footage is intercut with grainy clips of Moreno and Lopez performing in various intimate, shadowy spaces. Watch and listen above.
