Dead Cross Give Update From Studio: Music Coming "Very Soon"

Dead Cross, the hardcore group fronted by Faith No More's Mike Patton and featuring Retox guitarist Michael Crain, Locust bassist Justin Pearson and former Slayer/current Suicidal Tendencies drummer Dave Lombardo, have new music on the way. Lombardo posted photos from the band's time in the studio with producer Ross Robinson (Korn, Slipknot) — with whom they cut last year's self-titled debut — to Facebook, captioned in part, "We plan on releasing something very soon."

Lombardo's update doesn't come as a huge surprise, considering Patton's recent comments regarding the possibility of new Dead Cross music in a recent "Full Metal Jackie" interview back in September. "It's going so well and it feels really good," he told the radio host. "We get along real well. I don't see why we shouldn't put out a few more records and keep touring, so we'll see — I've learned to not make too many promises in advance, so, who knows?"

Dead Cross recently made an appearance on First We Feast's PBR Halftime Show, which included a Super Bowl-themed cooking demo that saw Patton learning the secret to great buffalo wings — and later, partaking in a game-day feast.

Here is Lombardo's Facebook update in full, as well as an Instagram post by the band from the studio:
