"It's not that fun to make music for myself"

Best known for alt-metal favorites Deftones, singer Chino Moreno is a man of many projects, from side bands like Team Sleep, Crosses and Palms to vocal features with everyone from Korn and Lamb of God to Whitechapel and Polyphia. But there's one particular sort of project that he has no plans to ever undertake: a solo album.

In a new interview with Kerrang!, primarily focused on Crosses' upcoming EP, PERMANENT.RADIANT, Moreno made his intentions crystal clear. "I have no interest in that," he said of a hypothetical solo project. "I don't."

"It's not that fun to make music for myself," Moreno elaborated. "I hate to say it, but I don't think I'm that interesting as to where I have a million things I need to share with the world. I don't. The best way to make music is to push ideas across the table and, next thing you know, you're staring at a song."

Crosses' PERMANENT.RADIANT EP is due out December 9th via Warner Records.
