After 30 years, countless tours and numerous festival headlining appearances, Deftones are launching a self-curated festival of their very own called Dia de Los Deftones. The event, taking place November 3rd at Petco Park at the Park in the band's native San Diego, will find the alt-metal icons performing one of just two California gigs planned for 2018. They'll be joined by a bevy of artists from across the stylistic spectrum: rap superstar Future, Linkin Park MC Mike Shinoda, rockabilly stalwarts Rocket From the Crypt, New Jersey industrial-rap duo Ho99o9, and Massachusetts hardcore upstarts Vein, just to name a few.
"For years, we've played on festivals with such amazing and diverse line-ups and that is what we have achieved with our first line-up for Dia de Los Deftones," lead singer Chino Moreno says of the festival. "We want this event to be a celebration; with the incredible artists we've assembled, and the experiences we're curating for the festival site, it's going to be a wonderful day and night for all who join us."
Pre-sale tickets for Dia de Los Deftones go on sale via Ticketmaster tomorrow (July 17th) at 10 AM Pacific, with a general sale to follow on July 20th.
