DEFTONES side project CROSSES: Hear new SUICIDEYEAR remix of "Sensation"

'PERMANENT.RADIANT' standout gets reimagined

Last month, Crosses — the electronic-rock project of Deftones' Chino Moreno and Far's Shaun Lopez — offered up a skittering, hypnotic "Machinedrum Remix" of "Day One," the fourth cut off their stellar, six-track PERMANENT.RADIANT EP.

Today (June 9th), the duo has followed that up with another remix, a clanking, subtly industrial reworking of PERMANENT.RADIANT's "Sensation" by Louisiana electronic-music composer and DJ Suicideyear. THe new track arrived along with a characteristically hallucinogenic video. Watch and listen above.

Consider these remixes a small taste of much bigger things to come. As Moreno and Lopez revealed in a December 2022 interview with Revolver, there's a lot more music in the pipeline, including what they claim is their heaviest song yet. The two also said that they plan to play shows in 2023 — which would be Crosses' first live performances in nine years. Stay tuned.
