The Devil Wears Prada Announce 'Color Decay' Album With New Single "Salt"

"A breakthrough track" that opened creative floodgates for upcoming LP

Revolver has teamed with the Devil Wears Prada for an exclusive gold vinyl variant of their new album, Color Decay. It's limited to 350 worldwide — order yours now!

Metalcore trailblazers the Devil Wears Prada have announced their highly anticipated eighth album, Color Decay, the follow-up to 2019's The Act LP and 2021's ZII EP. The upcoming full-length features the previously released singles "Watchtower" and "Sacrifice" as well as the new song "Salt," which the band just dropped today (June 7th). The cut leans into TDWP's catchier inclinations, evoking a heavier version of fan favorite "Chemical." Check it out above along with its high-octane music video.

"'Salt' is a song about trying to move forward and then feeling like nothing ever changes, even when you've seemingly done everything right," the band commented in a joint statement. "It's the sort of feeling that makes you question every move you've ever made. Initially, the lyrics were just about having trouble writing songs for our new record, but soon, we realized that this feeling of fighting only to be stagnant and held down applies to so much more in our lives. It was really a breakthrough track and allowed us to dive in even deeper into what became Color Decay."

The album, which is due September 16th, is up for pre-order now in an array of collectible formats including a limited-edition gold vinyl colorway available exclusively through Revolver's shop, as well as those of our sister brands BrooklynVegan and The Hard Times. Only 350 made — order yours before they're gone!
