Dillinger Escape Plan Enlist Mike Patton for First of Three Farewell Shows

Faith No More frontman, spazcore greats to perform collaborative EP 'Irony Is a Dead Scene' in full

The end is nigh for the Dillinger Escape Plan. Having wrapped up their final world tour late last month, the freak-metal pioneers have one final hurray on their pre-breakup agenda: a three-night stint at NYC's Terminal 5 December 27th-29th. Opening evening, in particular, is shaping up to be extra special: Dillinger Escape Plan will be joined by mutual fan and musical instigator Mike Patton for a front-to-back performance of 2002's collaborative EP Irony Is a Dead Scene at the first of the concerts. Rising Swedish hardcore outfit God Mother (who are signed to DEP guitarist Ben Weiman's Party Smasher Inc. label) will open the December 27th show.

Tickets are still available here, but you better act fast; the December 28th-29th gigs — featuring support from Code Orange and Daughters — have already sold-out.
