Disturbed's David Draiman: My Favorite Song About the Apocalypse

"It totally brings forth images of the great flood and devastation"

There are few topics that have inspired as many great heavy-music songs as the apocalypse — from Black Sabbath's "Electric Funeral" to Metallica's "The Four Horsemen" to Pantera's "Floods." So when we recently sat down with Disturbed frontman David Draiman, we had to ask him to select his personal favorite tune about the end times. He had a great pick.

Tool - "Ænema"

That, to me, has become the quintessential apocalypse song. It totally brings forth images of the great flood and devastation and earthquakes. I love the portrait that Maynard paints with his imagery in that song.
