Eddie, Explosions and "Cock-Ups": See Iron Maiden Prepare for Tour Kickoff Show

Bruce Dickinson, Steve Harris and Co. document Legacy of the Beast's North American debut in Sunrise, Florida

British heavy-metal masters Iron Maiden just hit American shores once more with last night's (July 18th) Legacy of the Beast tour kickoff at the BB&T Center in Sunrise, Florida. A newly published behind-the-scenes video shows the band's preparation and rehearsal beforehand, including the massive stage setup and some goofing off by the old chaps in the moments leading up to the show.

Beginning two days ahead of time, a huge team of specialists can be seen setting up and checking the props and instruments long before the proverbial curtain is raised. When asked his first reaction, Maiden bassist and founder Steve Harris exclaims, "Yeah, really good! Few little whoopsies here and there, few cock-ups [laughs], which you sort of expect. But I'm glad they happened here, rather than on the first night."

Once the mistakes were fixed, the band delved into their first rehearsal, of which drummer Nicko McBrain cheekily claims, "I, on the other hand, didn't make any mistakes."

Fan-filmed videos from the night's performances of "Run to the Hills," "Aces High" and "Number of the Best" can be seen below. See the full set list below (via Blabbermouth) and catch Iron Maiden on their current 33-date run on one of these locations
