Back in October, Gwar guitarist Mike Derks – known to most as Balsac the Jaws 'o Death – was diagnosed with myelofibrosis, a rare, potentially fatal form of blood cancer. The axeman is currently soldiering on with his bandmates on tour, but will require extensive tests and, eventually, a bone marrow transplant to treat his condition — and that's where fans like you come in. The Virginia marauders have linked up with the Love Hope Strength Foundation, Ronz World Guitars and the Music Experience to raffle off a custom-painted BC Rich guitar signed by the band in order to raise money for Derks' medical expenses.
