Evanescence's "Bring Me to Life" Video Surpasses 1 Billion YouTube Views

Amy Lee: "Thank you for all the love, all the memories — I'm speechless"

Evanescence have just hit a major career milestone in the age of the internet. The music video for their 2003 hit, "Bring Me to Life," has surpassed a whopping one billion views on YouTube. Congratulations are in order for Amy Lee and Co., because that's a number that only a handful of rock and metal bands have yet to achieve.

"So very proud to have reached a billion views!," the band wrote on Twitter. "What a crazy thing. Thank you for all the love, all the memories. I'm speechless. In honor of reaching a billion views, we are uploading an HD Restored version of the video very soon."

The explosive track was the second single from Evanescence's debut album, Fallen, and the one that quickly rocketed the fledgling group to mainstream acclaim. Upon topping the Billboard Alternative Songs list and cracking the top 10 of the Hot 100, it also won Best Hard Rock Performance at the 46th Grammy Awards and even earned a nomination for Best Rock Song. Today, it remains a millennial anthem and a staple of 21st century heavy music. In honor of it hitting the big billion, crank the video above and stay tuned for that HD restored version.
