Telekinetic Yeti are a two-piece who sound like an army. The Iowa stoner-metal duo tapped Baroness and Kylesa boardsmith Philip Cope to produce their new LP, Primordial, which arrives this summer to coincide with a run of dates they're playing with Weedeater. The aforementioned acts are bigwigs of the stoner, doom and sludge milieu, and Telekinetic Yeti have the chops to be name-dropped alongside them.

The riffs are fuckin' mighty, the drumming is cacophonous and the vocals are the perfect blend of haunting and hard-hitting. "I wanted to write something that brought to mind an early earth type setting; the dawn of man and humans creating the first tools," guitarist-vocalist Alex Bauman says of the track. "In the context of today's complicated and technologically advanced world it's interesting to think about the origins that we came from and all the millions of years of evolution that shaped us to be who we are."
