Ghostemane in Latin America: See Gorgeous, Impressionistic New Documentary

Tour doc was shot during "one of my lowest points emotionally and spiritually," says Ghoste

Ghostemane is on a remarkable roll right now. Since releasing his intense, genre-busting latest album N/O/I/S/E last year, he has been dropping new music on the regular — including a hardcore EPan acoustic EP and collaborative singles with HEALTH and Ho99o9 — appeared on the cover of Revolver and seemingly never left the road. His relentless touring included a swing through Latin America earlier this year, and that trek serves as the subject of a beautiful, impressionistic new documentary, titled Impío ("Wicked," in English) and directed by Max Beck, that captures Ghoste's creative drive and deep connection with his fans, as well as the sense of disconnection and desolation that can come with life on the road.

"We shot this during the Latin America tour in March 2019," Ghoste said of the nearly-25-minute-long film. "This was also during one of my lowest points emotionally and spiritually, which allowed me to immerse myself in each performance as a form of escapism. The opportunity to travel and play shows in these countries has given me a new appreciation for the fans and people there." Watch Impío above.
