While they just wrapped up touring for the year at Brooklyn, New York's Barclay's Center, Ghost are already looking forward to recording the follow-up to their most recent smash Prequelle in Spring 2020. In an interview with Loudwire, frontman and band leader Tobias Forge says, "From our perspective, at least, 2019 is already over. That doesn't limit me from writing or starting the steps, but when it comes to having a consecutive three months' studio time, there is no such time in 2019."

The band will spend most of the year on tour, including a European run with thrash luminaries Metallica when they hit stadiums across the continent from May to August.

As for what to expect in their upcoming shows, Forge says, "It's going to be a little bit of a mixture between different kinds of setups" citing arena shows versus festival gigs. Fans can expect the stage setups and presentation to vary throughout the different tours they'll hit, including several markets they'll be hitting for the first time in the United States.
