The Original Misfits — i.e. Glenn Danzig and Jerry Only, joined by guitarists Doyle Wolfgang von Frankenstein and Acey Slade and drummer Dave Lombardo — have one more, massive show on their schedule, and then it looks like the reunion could be over, at least for the foreseeable future. The pioneering horror-punk group is set to rock NYC's Madison Square Garden on October 19th for a special pre-Halloween bash, with Rancid and the Damned opening the show, and according to Danzig, that's all they have planned. The Misfits frontman, solo artist, comic-book impresario and newbie movie director recently appeared on the red carpet at the Hollywood premiere of Rob Zombie's new movie, 3 From Hell, and during an interview there (which you can watch below), he succinctly stated, "No more Misfits shows except MSG."

It's no surprise that Danzig would be taking an extended break from the Misfits since his slate is otherwise plenty full. He's been promoting his debut feature film, Verotika, which is set to have its NYC premiere shortly before the Misfits' MSG show, and has plans to start shooting a second movie, "a vampire Spaghetti Western." His long-rumored Danzig Sings Elvis album is also expected sometime this fall.
