GRÜN WASSER: Hear Electro-Industrial Duo's Hypnotic New Song "Stranger's Mouth"

Chicago band's latest track from forthcoming 'Not Ok With Things' LP arrives with intimate video

Chicago duo GRÜN WASSER — made up of vocalist Keely Dowd and producer Essej Pollock — practice an industrial-tinged blend of synth pop topped with a chill-as-hell vocal on their new song "Stranger's Mouth," which premieres today, June 6th, on Revolver.

"Stranger's Mouth," from the forthcoming full-length Not Ok With Things, arrives with a beautifully shot, intimate video of Dowd performing the compelling track, the lyrics of which confront men pre-categorizing women in an unsolicited fashion. Director Alexander Babbitt employs a split-screen approach full of rich colors and extreme close-ups for the striking visual.

Musically and aesthetically, the video recalls the roster of Portland's Italians Do it Better, specifically the catchy synth pop of Desire and Chromatics. Check it out above for the first time above and preorder your copy of Not Ok With Things via Holodeck ahead of its October 2019 release.
