Guns N' Roses are treating 1987's watershed debut album Appetite for Destruction to a massive reissue, due out June 29th. The remastered package, titled Appetite for Destruction: Locked N' Loaded, combines the original album with 25 unreleased demos, two early takes on "November Rain," two unfinished compositions ("The Plague" and "New Work Tune"), covers of Elvis Presley, Aerosmith, AC/DC and the Rolling Stones, and more.
The refurbished classic will be released in a variety of formats, including a massive box-set edition comprising a book, four CDs, a Blu-ray disc containing hi-def audio of the record, bonus tracks and music videos, across seven LPs, and seven 7-inch singles. The impressive, faux-leather-bound package — which features an impressive 3D cross, and costs $999 — throws in a ton of Guns N' Roses collectibles: skull face rings, replicas of fliers, ticket stubs, a remade GNR stage banner, posters and temporary tattoos of the rockers' real-life ink. The reissue will also be available as a four-CD/single Blu-ray/book set, single- and double-disc versions (for the remastered and deluxe versions, respectively), double LP and digital album.
