Swedish Satanic-rock troupe Ghost have come a long, long way since their cult 2010 debut, Opus Eponymous, to their latest LP, ImperaRevolver'top album of 2022.

One of the many things that have helped buoyed mastermind Tobias Forge and Co. to their current chart-topping, arena-headlining, award-winning success is a host of famous fans, including Dave Grohl, James Hetfield and Duff McKagan. Count among this murderers' row Lzzy Hale.

We asked the Halestorm singer-guitarist to pick her favorite Ghost song — see her selection below.

"Darkness at the Heart of My Love"

I have so many favorite Ghost songs, but the song I'd like to highlight is "Darkness at the Heart of My Love." The craftsmanship of the songwriting is stellar — the timed snaps, the catchy melody, the arrangement and the beautiful dark imagery. This song checks two of my guilty-pleasure boxes: both an Eighties love ballad and a Nineties horror film.
