Hatebreed's Jamey Jasta Slams Bruce Dickinson's Weed Meltdown: "What Doesn't Annoy You, Bro?"

Hardcore frontman called out Iron Maiden singer for cursing out fans smoking weed

Bruce Dickinson really doesn't like people smoking weed at Iron Maiden shows. Yesterday (October 24th), footage from a recent Maiden gig in California surfaced that showed the British metal pioneer cursing out a crowd for lighting up near the stage, claiming that the smoke and smell were negatively affecting the performing abilities of he and Maiden bassist Steve Harris.

"There's so many fucking people smoking so much fucking dope down here," Dickinson hollered into the audience. "I would just ask for a tiny bit of respect — if you want to go get completely stoned out of your fucking mind, go out the back and do it."

The 64-year-old Dickinson is known for being a bit of a lovable grump, and was even caught on camera the night after the marijuana meltdown (September 22nd) dragging an unruly fan offstage by his neck. In a semi-joking but also earnest Tweet aimed at Dickinson, Hatebreed frontman Jamey Jasta poked fun at the NWOBHM icon for his indica intolerance, asking if anything doesn't annoy him other than his longtime pastime of flying planes.

It's worth noting that Hatebreed once toured with the British metalcore unit Rise to Remain, who were fronted by Dickinson's son, Austin. So if they haven't ever met each other, then they're very likely aware of each other's existence, and Jasta clearly has a great amount of respect for Dickinson's contributions to metal history.

"Bruce Dickinson if you read this. Hi," Jasta wrote on Twitter. "You're a great vocalist/frontman. We took your son's band on tour. Hope you are well.

"Just so ya know. Lots of people like to smoke weed at outdoor concerts. WHAT DOESN'T ANNOY YOU BRO?!?! Besides flying planes? Lol you might need a puff or two."

Dickinson has yet to respond to Jasta's comment, but you can see his tweet below.
