Hear 311's first new single in 5 years "You're Gonna Get It"

Song arrived with underground-boxing-themed music video

311 have released their first new single in five years, "You're Gonna Get It," which previously made its live debut in March at the veteran rap-rock band's 311 Day event in Las Vegas.

The new song — which has all the fun, punchy energy of 311 classics like "Down" — arrived along with a gritty, Fight Club-esque music video that finds the group in the center of an underground boxing ring, with vocalist Nick Hexum engaged in some bare-knuckle pugilism.

"The story behind the lyrics to 'You're Gonna Get It' is going back into the mindset of when we were young, and dumb and doing a lot of crazy stuff," Hexum commented. "Sometimes getting away with it, sometimes with consequences. And I'm going in and out of the first person saying to myself, 'get your stuff together! Or else you're gonna get it.'"

311 recently announced two headlining performances at Red Rocks Amphitheater in Morrison, Colorado, and Cervantes Masterpiece Ballroom in Denver, Colorado, on June 29th and June 30th, respectively, along with their upcoming Unity Tour with special guests AWOLNATION and Neon Trees. The tour kicks off in Cincinnati, Ohio, on July 20th and wraps up in Redmond, Washington, on August 31st.
