Los Angeles–based Aeges are ready for their "next chapter" and their latest song "DRIFTER" marks its beginning. The single, due digitally December 2nd, showcases a punchy new mix of post-hardcore and stadium-ready pop rock. The group's past outfit was more focused around chunky riffs; now Aeges are zeroed in on carefully crafted hooks and streamlined songwriting with guitar work that nods to forefathers like Quicksand or their ilk. With new drummer Dylan Howard in tow, the band is gearing up to unleash the song live, including at a gig with Stone Sour on December 11th at the House of Blues Anaheim.

"We parted ways with our label earlier this year," explains vocalist-guitarist Kemble Walters. "And that freedom gave us the opportunity to go into the studio and do things our way. We recorded several new songs, and 'DRIFTER' stood out as an appropriate track to introduce our next chapter. It's short, to the point, and aggressively upbeat. Lyrically, it's us pushing back against some difficult events we've faced these past couple years."
