Berlin-based experimental-music outfit Amnesia Scanner, a.k.a. Ville Haimala and Martti Kalliala, has been blazing its own adventurous and apocalyptic path since its formation in 2014, mashing together everything from pop, ambient and gabba to industrial noise and blackgaze. Due out June 19th, the group's second LP, Tearless, is described by the duo as a "break-up album with the planet," and it takes their exploration next level, embracing a boundary-less, imploding universe of sound and such wide-ranging collaborators as Peruvian artist Lalita to Brazillian DJ-producer LYZZA to Pittsburgh heavy-music trailblazers Code Orange. The latter appear on noisy, sprawling album standout "AS Flat," which Revolver is premiering right here right now. Blast it — and read Amnesia Scanner's thoughts on the team-up — below.

"We had been in touch with Code Orange for a couple of years and found the intensity and technicality of their music very inspiring," Amnesia Scanner commented on the collaboration. "While we were working on the album, we felt that we needed to hear what happens if we combine our sonic worlds with CO. They agreed on the experiment, and the result is this song."

For their part, Code Orange have been keeping busy in lockdown with their innovative livestream series "YOU AND YOU ALONE." The most recent episode, titled "SHADE X MACHINE GIRL," premiered this past Monday on the band's Twitch channel and featured a collaborative electronics performance between Code Orange's Eric "Shade" Balderose and fellow Pittsburgh-based artist Machine Girl.
