Pulling inspiration from Sleep, Queens of the Stone Age, H.P. Lovecraft and the psychedelic horror films of the late Sixties and early Seventies, Austin, Texas' From Beyond are stoked to release a new album, The Band From Beyond, on May 11th. The Sword's Bryan Richie produced the record, which is full of doomy riffs, pulsing synths and vintage creepshow vibes. Just check out new cut "Blooming Sun," which the band is premiering right here right now.

"'Blooming Sun' is a meditation in the law of retaliation, but also an anecdote of the culprit and the casualty," From Beyond drummer Anthony Vallejo says of the track. "As one indulges in a night of reckless abandon fueled by the bottle, the other is extracted beyond the physical plane and is subjected to the attrition of corporeal existence in prostrate to the void."

(Whatever you say, dude.)
