Hear Australia's CIVIC Serve Up Post-Punk Greatness on New Song "Pleasure"

From Melbourne-based band's new 'Those Who No' 7-inch

Australia's CIVIC quietly dropped one of the best records of the year when they released this April's New Vietnam — a sneering and searing post-punk masterpiece of killer hooks, danceable rhythms, heaping attitude and punk-rock confrontation. It's the sort of record that will creep on to year-end lists as a dark horse, even though Revolver readers have been in the know. If you don't know, then play catch up and you'll be playing it nonstop soon thereafter.

While we bask in the afterglow of New Vietnam, CIVIC is not content to just give you a single obsession for the year — the Melbourne-based crew has already put together their follow-up, the Those Who No 7-inch EP available via Anti-Fade (worldwide) and Famous Class in the U.S. On the new EP, the band keeps it just as ripping, but modifies their approach to include gang vocals and spastic guitar solos along with their patented and wholly unique approach to punk / post-punk. It's just as furious, just as interesting and definitely won't leave your turntable for a while. Check out "Pleasure" for the first time below.
