Hear Baroness' Dizzying, Hard-Charging New Song "Throw Me an Anchor"

Rousing single from upcoming 'Gold & Grey' album arrives with European tour announcement

Baroness have just released another new track from their upcoming record Gold & Grey titled "Throw Me An Anchor," and in keeping with the album's apparent style, it's an impassioned and bold exploration of their refreshed dynamism while holding to the signature details that define their unique style and sound.

Kicking off with a discordant introduction before breaking into unbridled, galloping riffs and verses, singer John Dyer Baizely's inimitable voice leads the charge while the lead guitar and rhythm section lines dance and swirl around his anchoring presence. A constant, driving speed and unstoppable spirit pauses only briefly mid-song to accentuate the return to the enormous chorus, delivering that iconic triumphant finale Baroness have fully mastered.

With the new song comes the announcement of a fall European tour kicking off this September in the UK at the O2 Academy. The band are still firmly entrenched in their North and South American leg of this promotional tour, but will take a short break for drummer Sebastian Thompson to sit in for a stint as the house drummer on the Seth Myers Show during the week of May 20th.
