Based in Rome, Italy, Black Rainbows are tried and true veterans of the Seventies-worshipping occult-doom sound, mixing classic desert-rock stoner fuzz and deep-cosmos psychedelia. The dragonauts' forthcoming eighth album, Cosmic Ritual Supertrip, is characteristically spacey, hard-driving and tripped out. The album's due May 1st via Heavy Psych Sounds (you can pre-order it here), but ahead of that big release date, the power trio has teamed with Revolver to unleash album standout "Radio 666," one of their heaviest cuts to date.

"We chose "Radio 666" as our new single cause it's catchy, straight in your face and has a cool vibe," Black Rainbows vocalist-guitarist Gabriele Fiori says of the song, which evokes the likes of Corrosion of Conformity and Monster Magnet. "It sounds like the soundtrack of a trip on the California coast in a cool Ford Mustang." Check it out — and see the cover art for Cosmic Ritual Supertrip — below.
