Hear Black Sabbath's Geezer Butler Guest on Apocalyptica's New Song "I'll Get Through It"

Also featuring singer Franky Perez

Heavy-metal godfather Geezer Butler, a.k.a. Black Sabbath's iconic bassist and main lyricist, has reared his head, guesting on a new song from headbanging cello quartet Apocalyptica. Titled "I'll Get Through It," the single also features singer Franky Perez — the guest vocalist on Apocalyptica's 2015 album, Shadowmaker, and the frontman of the short-lived supergroup Deadland Ritual, which also included Butler, Billy Idol guitarist Steve Stevens and former Guns N' Roses drummer Matt Sorum. "I'll Get Through It" arrived along with a swirling music video — watch and listen above.

"I'll Get Through It" was written by songwriter Diane Warren, who previously penned Apocalyptica's "Not Strong Enough" on their 2010 LP, 7th Symphony.

"Franky and I were visiting my friend, Diane Warren, at her studio," Butler commented. "She played us this song, saying that she thought it would work well with Franky's voice. He gave it a try on the spot. We loved it. Franky then suggested sending it to Apocalyptica. They loved it, and the rest is history."
